Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung’s film “HUNT” will premiere in PH!

Lee Jung Jae, from headlining Squid Game to directing HUNT topping Korean box office with 3 million movie goers and now in the Philippines showing on August 31.

Expose the mole within the agency! Can the ‘Hunted’ become the ‘Hunter’?

International star and Squid Game Actor LEE Jung Jae has helmed a feature film movie HUNT Director LEE has used his 30-year experience as an actor to lead fellow filmmakers and cast on the set. As of August 21 where the movie locally played on August 10, The espionage movie achieving its continued success and milestone by reaching 3 million total of admissions getting their spots on the top list of Korean Weekly Box Office.

Hunt is a 2022 South Korean espionage action film directed by Lee Jung-Jae in his feature directorial debut, Starring the director itself (Lee Jung Jae) and Jung Woo Sung. It was invited to the non- competitive Midnight Screening section at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

A tight story to pull you in, and which you won’t be able to take your eyes from!

Taking place in the ‘80s against the backdrop of a cold war between the two Koreas, HUNT tells an engrossing tale of a spy agency conducting a smoke out operation to root out a mole. Although the circumstances surrounding the film are based on actual events in history, the story itself is a work of fiction in its entirety. Two high-ranking agents are pitted against each other to find the mole first, and the psychological tension becomes palpable as they attempt to hunt down each other. The story unfolds at break-neck speed, and you will be sitting on the edge of your seat until the very moment the spy is revealed.

SYNOPSIS

After a high-ranking North Korean official requests asylum, KCIA Foreign Unit chief Park Pyong-ho (LEE Jung Jae) and Domestic Unit chief Kim Jung-do (JUNG Woo Sung) are tasked with uncovering a North Korean spy, known as Donglim, who is deeply embedded within their agency. When the spy begins leaking top secret intel that could jeopardize national security, the two units are each assigned to investigate each other. In this tense situation where if they cannot find the mole, they may be accused themselves, Pyong-ho and Jung-do slowly start to uncover the truth. In the end, they must deal with an unthinkable plot to assassinate the South Korean president.

The film is set to play on August 10, 2022, in Korea. And will be simultaneously playing in the Philippines through the effort of the content production and distribution company, Glimmer Inc. where it aims on bringing the best Korean entertainment collaboration to the Philippines and Southeast Asia with its founder & CEO GRACE LEE, who is a well-known TV personality and businesswoman in the country. Glimmer Inc hopes to bring in the high production quality of Korean contents that are known for to the Philippine scene in line with its vision to leverage the exchange of great talents in both countries through content co-production and film distribution.
